October 9, 2009: Mickey Rooney Runs Amuck

Among today's 20 additions from July and August 1971, you'll find two in the Random Pages gallery dealing with the Apollo 15 moon landing. In the channel 2 gallery there are two more for The Phil Donahue Show and a full-page ad for Truth or Consequences and Stump the Stars. There are three more Profiles in Black  ads in the channel 4 gallery and four more movie ads in the channel 7 gallery for "Carter's Army," "Muscle Beach Party." "Tammy and the Bachelor" and "The Private Lives of Adam and Eve" with Mickey Rooney. The channel 24 gallery has another one for The Golddiggers and one for Man Trap. I added 20 more today from May-July 1971. There are seven more in the channel 2 gallery including ads for the movies, "Moby Dick," "The Greatest Show on Earth," "That Lady From Peking" and "Vera Cruz."  Also there is one for The Golddiggers and two for The Mike Douglas Show, one with Nancy Wilson and one with Rosemary Clooney. The channel 4 gallery has five more Profiles in Black ads including one with WWJ-TV news anchor Jerry Blocker. The channel 11 gallery has one for "Splendor in the Grass" and one for The David Frost Show. There's another one for The David Frost Show in the channel 50 gallery along with ads for The Lou Gordon Program and another one for Perry Mason. I added 26 more ads today from March-May 1971. The Other Vintage ads gallery has a Belvedere Construction ad for aluminum siding and a Planters Nuts ad. The channel 2 gallery has three more movie ads for "The Proud and the Profane" (Deborah Kerr), "Walk Like a Dragon" (Jack Lord) and "Nevada Smith" (Steve McQueen) and a Mike Douglas Show ad with Arte Johnson. There are four more Profiles in Black ads in the channel 4 gallery and one for the movie, "Green Mansions" in the channel 7 gallery. There's one for the Sunday Showtime presentation of Alfred Hitchcock's "Marnie" and for Get Smart and The Dick Van Dyke Show in the channel 9 gallery. The channel 11 gallery has one for "Spencer's Mountain" and the WXON-TV 62 gallery has another Ozzie and Harriet ad. There are also ads for "The Victors," "Bye Bye Birdie" (Ann-Margret), Gomer Pyle, USMC, a Detroit Pistons-Milwaukee Bucks game, The Mike Douglas Show (with co-host Eva Gabor) and another one for Truth or Consequences. The channel 4 gallery has two more for Profiles in Black and one for The Wild Wild West.
