June 6, 2017: Visiting the Past

There are nine more ads today, from the December 4-10, 1999 issue of TV Guide Magazine, and from December 9 & 10, 1999 editions of The Blade. There's one addition, from TV Guide, to the CBS gallery, a Friday, 12/10/99 ad for Candid Camera's Funniest Moments: A Salute to Allen Funt. There are three additions, from TV Guide, to the PBS gallery, all WBGU-TV27 ads. The first one is a Wednesday, 12/8/99 ad for Smart Women Finish Rich and Balance Your Body, Balance Your Life with Dr. Edward Taub. Next is a Thursday, 12/9/99 ad for The Hayes Presidential Center: Visit the Past, followed by a Friday, 12/10/99 ad for Doo Wop 50. There are two additions, from The Blade, to the Buckeye CableSystem gallery, both Friday, 12/10/99 ads, a half-page Weather Page ad, with west Toledo resident, Amy Drescher, for Buckeye Express High-Speed Internet Service ("Buckeye Express is the hot setup."), and a Peach Section ad, for "Dexter's Laboratory: Ego Trip," on Cartoon Network. There's one addition, from TV Guide, to the Vintage Cable Ads gallery, a Monday, 12/6/99 full-page ad for the world premiere of The Times Capsule on History Channel. There's also one addition to the Radio Station Ads gallery, a Thursday, 12/9/99 ad with an apology from WSPD's Scott Sloan. For more infomation, click here. Today's last ad is an addition to the Other Vintage ads gallery, a Thursday, 12/9/99 ad, in The Blade's Sports Section (Teachers! Kids of All Ages Love the Harlem Globetrotters, the World's Greatest Basketball Show!). This was a "Newspaper in Education" ad from the Blade, co-sponsored by The Andersons. More ads, from the December 11-17, 1999 issue of TV Guide Magazine, and from the online archives of The Toledo Blade, are on the way...
