April 11, 2017: The Definitive Story

There are nine more ads today, from the October 16-22, 1999 issue of TV Guide Magazine, and from the October 21, 1999 edition of The Blade, plus two Random Pages gallery additions. The first one is from TV Guide, a J. Max Robins' story on Boomerang, "Animate This! Cartoon Network Launches a Sister Channel." There's also a Monday, 10/18/99 Peach Section story in The Blade, by Chris Borrelli, "TV News Ponders Partnership Ethics." There's one addition, from TV Guide, to the ABC gallery, a Sunday, 10/1/99 ad for "The Lion King II: Simba's Pride" on The Wonderful World of Disney. There's also one addition, from TV Guide, to the NBC gallery, a Sunday, 10/1/99 full-page ad for the movie, "Mr. Rock 'n' Roll: The Alan Freed Story," starring Judd Nelson. There's one addition, from The Blade, to the Buckeye CableSystem gallery, a Thursday, 10/21/99 ad, in the Peach Section, for Tobacco Wars on TLC. The rest of today's ads are additions, from TV Guide, to the Vintage Cable Ads gallery starting with a full-page color ad for "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" on Odyssey Network, followed by a Sunday, 10/17/99 full-page ad for "Speed" with Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock, on Fox Family Channel. There's also another 10/17/99 full-page ad, for Hollywood Salutes Jodie Foster on TNT. It's followed by a Monday, 10/18/99 ad for A Conversation with Gregory Peck on TCM, and another 10/18/99 ad, for On the Inside, "Friends" on Discovery Channel. Today's last ad is a Friday, 10/22/99 full-page ad for The World Magic Awards on Fox Family Channel. More ads, from the October 23-29, 1999 issue of TV Guide Magazine, and from the online archives of The Toledo Blade, are on the way...
