February 16, 2017: Home Style Television

There are twelve more ads today, from September 8-17, 1999 editions of The Blade, plus one Random Pages gallery addition, a Monday, 9/13/99 Peach Section column by Chris Borrelli, "Radio Ratings Show Few Changes" which also includes an item about WTVG-TV 13 and an item on how the Viacom takeover of CBS affects Toledo. There are seven additions to the Buckeye CableSystem gallery starting with a Wednesday, 9/8/99 ad, in the Peach Section, for Neil Simon's "The Odd Couple II," on TMC. Next is a Friday, 9/10/99 ad, also in the Peach Section, for Cartoon Cartoon Fridays on Cartoon Network, followed by a 9/10/99 full-page Peach Section ad (Buckeye CableSystem! The Ultimate Home Improvement! The Easiest, Most Entertaining Home Renovation.) There's also a Saturday, 9/11/99 ad, in the Peach Section, for "Antz" on HBO, and a Sunday, 9/12/99 full-page TV Week ad, for "P.T. Barnum" on A&E, Restore America on HGTV, and Buckeye's installation special which included gift certificate from The Andersons. And there's a Thursday, 9/16/99 ad, in the Peach Section, for The Real McCoys on TNN, and a Friday, 9/17/99 ad for High School Football on the Community Channel. That week's game featured Perrysburg at Rossford. There are four additions to the ToledoVision 5 gallery, starting with three Sunday, 9/12/99 TV Week ads, the first ad for three shows on the WB, 7th Heaven, "There Goes the Bride," Felicity, "Felicity Was Here," and For Your Love, "The Art of War." The second ad was another "TV5 Millennium Moment" ad, this one about the Fassett Street Bridge. The ad included a picture of TV5 host Theresa Pollick. There's also a full-page back cover ad for "Home Style Television" shows on TV5, Everyday Living with Martha Stewart, Let's Eat Toledo, Ron Hazelton's House Calls, Living Better with Carrie Wyatt, Rebecca's Garden, and B. Smith with Style. And there's a Monday, 9/13/99 ad, in the Peach Section, for more Indians and Reds baseball games. Today's last ad is an addition to the Other Vintage ads gallery, a Wednesday, 9/8/99 ad, in the Sports Section, for Sign Pro (Field Your Way To The Field Of Mud Hens!). All of today's "TV Week" ads were scanned from an actual newspaper "TV Week" in my collection. More ads, from the September 18-24, 1999 issue of TV Guide Magazine, and from the online archives of The Toledo Blade, are on the way...
