August 17, 2016: Weekend with the Duke

There are eleven more ads today, from the April 24-30, 1999 issue of TV Guide Magazine, and from April 24 & 27-29, 1999 editions of The Blade, plus two Random Pages gallery additions. There's a Monday, 4/26/99 Peach Section story in The Blade, "Ch. 24 Hires New Anchor," about Jon Clark joining Lisa Guyton to co-anchor WNWO's 6 and 11 pm newscasts. There's also a Tuesday, 4/27/99 TV Guide page with some 8:30 - 9 pm listings and a half-page "movie close-up" for "The Patty Duke Show: Still Rockin' in Brooklyn Heights" with Patty Duke and other original castmembers. The lyrics to the show's theme song are also included. The next four ads are all from TV Guide. There's one addition to the ABC gallery, a full-page color ad for Disney's One Saturday Morning. There's also one addition to the FOX gallery, too, a Sunday, 4/25/99 ad and "close-up" description for The X-Files, "The Unnatural," written and directed by series star, David Duchovny. Next is an addition to the PBS gallery, a full-page color ad for Zoboomafoo with the Kratt Brothers. And there's also one addition to the UPN gallery, a Thursday, 4/29/99 full-page ad and "close-up" description for the premiere of WWF Smackdown! There are three additions, all from The Blade's Peach Section, to the Buckeye CableSystem gallery, starting with a Saturday, 4/24/99 ad for Weekend with the Duke on TBS, which included the movies, "Big Jake," "Rio Lobo," "McClintock!" and "Cahill, U.S. Marshal." Next is a Wednesday, 4/28/99 ad for The Brady Bunch on Nick-at-Nite, followed by a Thursday, 4/29/99 ad for AMC's Swing Special Featuring the Cherry Poppin' Daddies, There are two additions, from TV Guide, to the Vintage Cable Ads gallery, a full-page color back-cover ad for Kids Choice Awards 99 on Nickelodeon (Rosie O'Donnell), and a Sunday, 4/25/99 full-page ad for Titanic Answers from the Abyss on the Discovery Channel. The last two ads today are additions to the Other Vintage ads gallery. The first one is a full-page color ad, from TV Guide, with the cast of Frasier (got milk?). The second one is a Tuesday, 4/27/99 full-page ad from The Blade (Everybody's Chatting about Access Toledo).
