I added twelve more ads today, all from August 1984, plus four more Random Pages gallery additions, three from Peach Sections of The Blade, two Thursday, 8/2/84 “Around Toledo Television” items, a Saturday, 8/18/84 story by Seymour Rothman, “Televised Football Unlikely For Rockets This Season” and a Thursday, 8/23/84 story, “Adult Music Channel In Future of MTV.” That channel would later be known as VH-1. There's also a Sunday, 8/26/84 story, again by Seymour Rothman, “College Football Deregulation Leaves Only Viewers Happy,” on the front page of the Entertainment section. There's one addition to the News/Special Reports Ads gallery, a Monday, 8/20/84 ad for Jerry Anderson in Dallas for the 13 News coverage of the Republican Convention. There are two additions to the the Buckeye CableSystem gallery, a Thursday, 8/2/84 ad for Cable Q's on The Blade Channels 11 and 13, and a Sunday, 8/26/84 ad for football on The CableSystem. There are four additions to the CableSystem Channel 5 gallery, all for The Movie Show with Paul W. Smith, seen at 9 PM on Fridays and sponsored by The Video Connection. There's an 8/3/84 ad for “The Scarlet Pimpernel,” an 8/10/84 ad for TV's Golden Age: Amos and Andy, an 8/24/84 ad for “The Amazing Adventure” and an 8/31/84 ad for “The Naked and the Dead.” There are also five additions to the Other Vintage ads gallery, including a Friday, 8/3/84 ad for Tony Packo's Cafe and a Monday, 8/6/84 ad for Fotomat. Next is a Thursday, 8/16/84 ad for The Blade's convention coverage with former channel 13 reporter, Chase Clements. There's also a Tuesday, 8/21/84 ad for Sesame Street at NorthTowne Square with Loretta Long (Susan). And there's a Friday, 8/24/84 ad for Amoco / Lyden Oil Co. September 1984 ads from the online archives of The Toledo Blade are on the way...
