I added fifteen more ads today, all from March 1989, plus one Random Pages gallery addition, a Friday, 3/10/89 Blade Peach Section story by Tom Ensign, “TV 48 Taking to Airwaves Monday.” There are eight additions to the PBS gallery, for shows on Channel 30, starting with a Friday, 3/10/89 ad for the movie, “The Devil at 4 O'Clock.” Next is a Saturday, 3/11/89 ad for multiple episodes of This Old House (Norm Abrah, Bob Vila) and Hometime (Dean Johnson, Joanne Liebeler). There's a Tuesday, 3/14/89 ad for Hirohito – Behind the Myth and a Thursday, 3/16/89 ad for the special, John Wayne, Standing Tall and the movie, “Rio Grande.” There's also a Friday, 3/17/89 ad for the Barbara Stanwyck movie, “The Lady Eve” and a Saturday, 3/18/89 ad for five movies, “The Road to Singapore,” “The Road to Zanzibar,” “The Road to Morocco,” “The Road to Utopia” and “Breaking Away.” Next is a Sunday, 3/19/89 ad for the last day of Festival programming. It was for the movies, “The Shaggy D.A.,” “Smoke,” “Old Yeller,” “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers” and “An American in Paris” and also for the special, Songs From My Fair Lady. The last one for Channel 30 today is a Thursday, 3/30/89 ad for Who's in Charge, with Toledo author, Scott Shepherd. There are two additions to the Buckeye CableSystem gallery, a Sunday, 3/12/89 ad for an offer to try HBO for free, and a Thursday, 3/16/89 ad for a free preview of PASS. There are also two additions to the CableSystem Channel 5 gallery, both for Ohio high school basketball championship games featuring Toledo's Macomber High, a Thursday 3/16/89 ad for their semi-final game against Cincinnati Woodward, and a Saturday, 3/18/89 ad for the finals game against Cleveland St. Joseph. The Macmen, led by Jimmy Jackson, won the game in overtime, 75-72. There also one addition to the Vintage Cable Ads gallery, a Thursday, 3/16/89 ad for the 1989 NCAA Basketball Tournament first round games, on ESPN. There's one addition to the Radio Station Ads gallery as well, a Saturday, 3/10/89 ad for a gospel concert at the Masonic Auditorium, sponsored by WPOS-FM (The Cathedrals, The Kingsmen). Today's last ad is an addition to the Other Vintage ads gallery, a Thursday, 3/16/89 ad for “Spring Warm-Up Specials” at both locations of Tony Packo's Cafe.
